As a proven germaphobe for years, I've also been a fan of UV-C sanitizers long before the pandemic began. By decontaminating water with similar technology, the LARQ Pitcher PureVis takes filtration to a whole new level, so I naturally jumped at the opportunity to test it.
The first thing that impressed me about the product was its design. Compared to its rivals, the LARQ Pitcher PureVis looks sleeker and more high-tech than its rivals, thanks to an integrated ring light. It has an 8-cup capacity, and you can order it in white or blue.
Setting up and maintaining the pitcher is a quick and easy process. Its PureVis wand with UV-C light has a battery that can last for up to a month between charges. It also comes with a convenient magnetic charger that needs just an hour to power it up entirely.
The UV-C water purification takes just seconds to complete. You can activate it anytime by pressing a button or via the product's companion app. Best of all, you can set the process to begin every time you refill the LARQ PureVis. Filling a pitcher with filtered and purified water is a matter of a few minutes.
In addition to UV-C light, the PureVis pitcher utilizes an eco-friendly, plant-based filter to purify water. The critical component can process up to 60 gallons of water between changes and replace over 400 single-use bottles.
Rather impressively, you can choose between a couple of filter types for the pitcher. An essential one can remove chlorine, copper, mercury, radon, and VOCs, among other pollutants. It costs only $25 to replace.
On the other hand, the advanced filter can get rid of even more harmful particulates. It costs only $5 more than the essential filter, and I highly recommend it.

Another feature I like is how easy the Pitcher PureVis is to refill with water. There’s no need to remove its top cover to complete this task. Instead, you can hold it with one hand under your water faucet. Its flap cover will yield from the weight of the liquid and begin refilling its water receptacle.
As a tech enthusiast, I couldn’t help but enjoy interacting with the pitcher’s companion app, too. It allowed me to keep tabs on the PureVis wand’s battery, the filter’s status, and my water intake.
What’s the bottom line?
I will not forget how grossed-out I felt every time I saw grime in the water receptacle of my old pitcher, even though I had thoroughly washed it just a few days ago.
The LARQ pitcher treated me to safer and better-tasting water by rocking a UV-C light to eliminate biological contaminants. Thanks to this pitcher, my stomach turning at the sight of grime building up in my old water pitcher is behind me. This product is totally worth its considerable price tag, and I'd recommend it over any competitor.
